Jewellery Care

18K Gold Plated Stainless Steel

Our jewellery is crafted from the highest quality stainless steel and plated with 18k gold using an advanced technique called PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition). This modern plating method is ten times thicker than traditional gold plating and makes it 100% waterproof.

You can wear our 18K Gold Plated Stainless Steel pieces every day without having to remove it! Whether you’re showering, swimming in the pool, hitting the gym, or relaxing at the beach, your jewellery will never tarnish or lose its shine. ✨

Gold-Filled

Unlike traditional gold-plated jewellery, gold-filled jewellery consists of a thick layer of solid gold (5%) bonded to a base, usually sterling silver. This makes it much more durable and longer-lasting. It's also more resistant to tarnishing and won't easily fade like traditional (non-PVD) plated jewellery, making it a great investment for everyday wear. Gold-filled jewellery is safe to wear underwater (just avoid chlorinated water) and is easy to care for.

Care Tips for our Gold-Filled Jewellery;

  • Use a soft polishing cloth to gently buff and maintain its natural shine.
  • While it's water-resistant, steer clear of perfumes, lotions, detergents, and other skincare products to keep the finish intact.
  • Avoid wearing your jewellery during intense workouts or swimming in chlorinated pools.
  • After swimming in the ocean, rinse your jewellery with warm water to remove salt water.

Sterling Silver

Our silver pieces are made from 925 sterling silver —this is the highest quality silver available. However, like all fine materials, it will benefit from a little tender loving care to keep it looking its best for years to come.

Wear
Wearing your sterling silver jewellery regularly can actually help prevent tarnishing! The natural oils from your skin help keep the silver shiny and looking fresh.

Shower
While it’s best not to shower with your jewellery on regularly, an occasional wash won't cause lasting damage. Just be sure to dry it off properly afterwards.

Swimming Pools & Hot Tubs
Avoid wearing your sterling silver jewellery in chlorinated water, as chemicals like chlorine can cause tarnishing over time. If you happen to forget, don’t worry—simply clean your jewellery with warm, soapy water and gently pat it dry afterward.

Makeup, Lotion & Perfume
Make jewellery the last thing you put on when getting ready to avoid exposure to chemicals in lotions, perfumes, and makeup. These can contribute to tarnishing and dull your silver’s shine.

DIY Natural Silver Cleaning Tip
To clean your sterling silver naturally, mix 2 parts water with 1 part baking soda to form a paste. Use an old toothbrush to gently apply the paste in circular motions, then rinse with warm water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
